Welcome Dear Guests,

Thanks for visiting the River Hills web site.

At River Hills we are re-thinking what it means to be "church" in the 21st Century. I invite you to come with us on this spiritual quest.

We realize that many people are interested in spiritual truth, but have tried "religion" and found it wanting. At River Hills we believe that the spiritual truth of Jesus Christ goes way deeper than surface religious activities.

We do not diminish the importance of religious rituals and practises; they can give great meaning to one's spiritual journey. At River Hills, however, we are re-thinking the "connect" between religious activity and a vibrant relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

So, as one of the founders of our movement, John Wesley, put it, "If your heart is with my heart, give me your hand."

If you do not have a faith community, I want to invite you to check us out.

Look around the web site and you will see some indication that we get involved in many activities, all designed to grow, feed, and refine our faith. We do not wish to "play" at Christianity or "dabble" in religiosity. We are striving to be devoted and authentic practitioners
of Jesus' teachings. Our roots are in God's grace ("unearned love"), and we intend to treat all persons with grace and goodness in the best tradition of Jesus' example.

Simply stated, our purpose is and remains, "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world." Join us in rethinking how we do that in today's world.

And remember, "our hearts, our minds, our doors are always open" to you!
